Vectec uses the Metron 4 as a device to measure the level of liquid in storage tanks. The level can be shown on the display of the device and transmitted to the Metronview website at regular intervals.
We now have many fire, police and ambulance services under annual planned maintenance schemes.
As an expansion of this service we have been fitting Metron 4 at many customer sites. These allow users to monitor fuel usage by sites remotely via Metron View. They can also receive automated alerts for high and low stocks, refuel alerts and exceptional occurrences such as theft of leakage.
It is our ambition to extend this Industrial Internet of Things to monitor the condition of fuel dispensers and predict equipment failures before they occur.
